Tuesday Tunes

At Last is a wonderful song and one of the top 5 songs played at weddings. It will also be played at my reception.
I had a horrible scary weekend and my heart is still beating from fear. My Dad had a HUGE blood clot Friday and he passed out (had to be brought back by chest compressions) and went back on a ventilator. The good news is that he's healing and now off the ventilator. I'll go more in detail later but i'm swamped at work and my work laptop does not like Blogger and i am having trouble trying to get this post out.

  2. How awful scary! Thank God he is recovering from that scare. I absolutely LOVE this song. How appropriate this song will be for your reception. I can just imagine you and your sweetie gliding across the dance floor to this song. It just gives me chills. Love and prayers continue for you and your Dad!! ♥♥♥

  3. Wow! Not so good for the nerves, Holli, but your dad was in safe hands, thank goodness! Deep breaths - like the ones Etta uses in this classic - and hope Blogger complies..!! ♥

  5. Oh Holli, I had no idea about your Dad's setback. That must have been so scary for all of you. Glad to hear he is once again off the ventilator and moving in the right direction. Prayers to you all.

I sure do love me some Etta James. A classic.

    1. Marla, i dont ever want to relive that experience again. I fell to my knees at work when i got the call that Dad was unconscious. I couldnt breathe and i wailed the ugly cry. I am blessed to have great compassionate coworkers near me. Praise God he's improving.
