Texas inferno

So good news, we are getting a small break this week ( a cold front) from the triple digits. Honestly , I don't believe it but fingers crossed.

I'm miserable yall! The heat gives me headaches and I don't breathe as well now that I have asthma. The air conditioning can't keep up with Tempe like today at 106. My office is stuffy inside.  My dogs are restless because they need to be outside and run but it's too hot.
I'm proud to be a Texan but I'd gladly adopt another state right about now for my summers.  Is it hot where you are?
What are you doing to stay cool?  I love these memes.....I apologize for some language on a few

  1. Hi, dear Holli! These hot weather memes are a hoot. I moved from Penna to Fla in 1984. I thought it would be great to stay nice and toasty warm nine months out of the year. It didn't take long for me to realize that the extreme heat and humidity make spring, summer and fall one long endurance test. I know it is even worse in Texas where triple digits are much more common than they are here. Your weather turns much colder in winter, too. Mrs. Shady and I recently moved from the geographic center of the peninsula to a town along the coast. Living close to the water and having a brisk breeze blowing most days makes a big difference. It's delightful!

    Happy Tuesday, dear friend Holli!

  3. I don't know which one I liked better- the crash course or "Well played". Another blogger from Houston was making the same point- it's a tetch warm down there. We've had some warm this summer, but nothing quite like that.

I did a cartoon on the blog once- don't know when- of Scrappy and I taking a walk, and melting by the time we got anywhere. If I find it, I'll send to you.

  4. Aaww... I like the melting dog! How cute! I would invite you to Arkansas, but we aren't much cooler. Before long we will all be grouching about snow! ;-) -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures

  6. OG - some of these are so funny! That is crazy hot. We have relatives in San Antonio so I know how you feel. Even NYC is much cooler thankfully. It's in the 80's here this week.

  7. I loved all of these. It was much cooler today in Kansas. Still in the 90's but almost no humidity. I am sure it's not going to last. September is coming!!

  8. I'm getting sunburned from the computer screen!!

Maybe that 99 degree day was the cold front. :-/

Stay cool! I can teach you my special technique for sneaking the thermometer temp down every time my Hubzam leaves the room.
