NY pictures from Day 2

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.  I'll blog about my holiday another day. I'm still wrapping up my trip to New York from last week.
These are from Saturday and we woke up to snow and then pouring rain.

We ate our breakfast at the diner both mornings- was directly across the street from hotel

They were carrying AR's.  Serious!

My felt hat and wool coat were getting soaked! This was before we found the 5$ street umbrellas

  1. Hi, Holli!

The words written in your recent text-only post explaining what you and Todd did and saw during your weekend in New York City were brought to life in these two follow-up pictorial essays. I thoroughly enjoyed them.

Those giant Christmas lights would weigh down your tree at home, wouldn't they? :) The skating Santa and the strolling Cookie Monster and Elmo surely added to the festive fun. The shots you took inside Radio City were magnificent. You and Todd are a very photogenic couple and the happy expressions on your faces make me happy. By means of osmosis I was able to feel the joy and excitement that the two of you experienced on your holiday adventure in New York.

Thank you very much for sharing and happy new year to you guys!

    1. It WAS a great time! You'd be surprised how easy it is because so many others are also tourists. In fact, we rode the elevator with other Texans and we had no idea until we asked them something. I think if you get a chance, you should go.

    1. It was pretty cold but i really loved every minute of it. I knew we wouldnt have a cold Christmas this year in Dallas , so i needed to feel like Christmas. The buildings keep the temps super hot so unless you're outside, you wouldnt be cold! Happy New Year!

  6. I just wrote two posts from my trip to NY in August. I have the biggest desire to be there at Christmas to see the tree, the large Christmas ornaments and bulbs! I'm so glad you got to see them and of course the Rockettes. That Nativity looks beautiful too.

    1. I think if we do it again, we wont go 7 days before Christmas. We would go a week earlier. It was so amazing but crazy crowded. On the news they even said a statistic of all the tourists there at same time.
The Nativity set brought tears to our eyes and chill bumps. It was so amazing!

  8. Hey Holli,

I've been so out of it. I didn't even know you were going to NYC for the Christmas holiday. What fun!!! I think I told you that I lived in NYC for two years out of college. Boy, those were interesting times. There is no place like it!

So glad you had fun. Looks like you needed rubberized boots. I had a pair of those in college that I kept through my NYC years. They were necessary in that weather...

    1. So funny you mention the rubber boots- thats EXACTLY what i wanted and needed and literally almost went to go buy some but i didnt because i needed to pack. Thats what i got for christmas. A little late but i'll be ready next time.
I sooo envy the time you lived there. So brave and exciting. I really like it there.

  9. Fabulous photos, Holli! I have always wanted to visit New York at Christmastime. Aren't the Rockettes amazing? We've seen them twice when they were on the road. My daughter went on a choir field trip to New York and the students got a backstage tour at Radio City Music Hall. So fascinating to see the costumes up close. Happy New Year!
