Y- YOU are my Sunshine

Its been raining A LOT here lately in Dallas. We've had some crazy thunder and lightning storms and today it didn't get over 60 degrees.  That's unheard of in Dallas at this time of year.  Now I am not complaining in the least bit. I hate- yes I said hate- our summers! They are brutal and way too hot to have fun in the summer. I like that our lakes are filling up and the grass is green and not brown and crunchy.  However, with all this rain I need some sunshine to brighten my days.



Because there isn't anything better than Johnny Cash singing You are my Sunshine to June Carter.

    My dad has a little thing on his frig that plays Your are my Sunshine! He pushes it each morning in memory of my mom.

    My DIL used to sing this song every night to my granddaughter. It is a special song for them. The granddaughter is now 15! I don't know whether you saw on the comment that you left that I live in Hutchinson, Kansas!! Small world

    The weather has been so similar here in NC! A lot of rain and cooler temps, which I'm trying to not complain about because mid July I'm sure I will be tired of the heat and humidity!!! But a little sunshine always helps to lift your spirits for sure!

    I loved the rain because it has filled up our lakes and I hate our scorching summers! Ready for some normal, nice. weather to be outside walking or sitting on the patio!

    Hello there.
    I too detest summer...too hot, too humid, too many bugs! Here on the East Coast, we topped 70 degrees today with a slight breeze...that I can manage!

    Hi Holli - lovely post and that song is brilliant isn't it. Then you've had some rain ... it's good when it comes isn't it ... we need a bit down here in the South East of England, but it's still cold - even though that brilliant orb is high in the sky ... cheers Hilary
