Castles and stuff

Hey my lovely peeps!! How is everyone? I didn't get to visit a single blog this week and i'm just skidding in on making my post for the week.  Its been crazy busy in graduation season. My stepdaughter graduated high school this past Wednesday night. I have a wedding and 2 more graduations to make in this next week. I am soooo ready for this long weekend!! We're chilling tonight and eating leftovers and watching Dateline. That's usually our Friday night routine and i'm more than Ok with it. Tomorrow we're going to a swimming party at some friends house and eating tacos so that makes me happy. Sunday, we're going to be at that all day music fest concert that i'm soooo excited about. The top 3 headliners are Live, Seether, and Shinedown. I know i mentioned recently in one of my posts.  Monday, chilling in our pool and my cousin and her family are hanging out with us. That's my weekend plans.  Do yall have anything fun planned?
I thought i would wrap up with more Amsterdam pictures.  On one of our day tours, we went to Haarlem which happens to be the original Harlem and its what ours in NYC is named after. Haarlem is also where Corrie Ten Boom hid Jews from the Nazis.  We didn't get to tour that but it was cool to see the building where it happened. There were some buildings that dated back to the 13th and the 14th century.  That blows my mind!! That's the kind of stuff we enjoyed seeing and experiencing while in a different country.
We also toured a castle called Kastle De Haar.  The original castle was around 1391 and it eventually burned down. It was rebuilt in 1892. It had a beautiful church on the property that we didn't get to tour but a wedding had just taken place there a few days prior.  How cool would that be?!!  I  have always wanted to visit a castle in Europe so i can scratch that off my bucket list.
So here are a lot of pictures.

Please be safe this Memorial Weekend.

More Amsterdam and stuff

Hellooooo!! I am currently sitting at the desk in our Hampton hotel room in Shawnee, Oklahoma. My niece graduated high school last night so we drove in yesterday to attend the ceremony. So hard to believe she's 18 and about to go to college in the fall. The years flew by! My mom is here staying with my brother and she'll fly back to Montana tomorrow.  I'm working half a day today and then driving back to Texas. The drive is just a little over 3 hours. We have to pick up our dogs from doggy daycare as soon as we get back.
Here are some more Amsterdam photos. While there, we took a tour bus to Keukenhof which is in Lisse, Netherlands. This is where the tulips are!! Tulips are only in bloom for a short season so its only open for 60 days. More than 7 million flower bulbs are planted to bloom. As you can imagine , hundreds of busses pour in and over a million visitors come to see the flowers in this time. Its incredible!! Fun fact, when i was 21 i got a tulip tattooed on my toe. They are my favorite flower !!!
Have a great weekend!! Friday is my birthday- yay for being alive another year.  Blogger is also being weird for me today so ignore the random So at the very bottom.  HAHA! Lots of pics today:

Back from Amsterdam

Hey my lovely friends!!  So this time last week, it was our last day in Amsterdam to explore and soak it in.  I've literally hit the ground running since we've back and i'm sorry i'm just now able to get around to blogging. I am so busy at work right now, i have to keep this brief.  I took 788 photos and i'll have to split them up over the next few days/weeks.   Many of these photos were taken from the plane looking down. I loved that i was able to capture some of the tulip fields from the sky.
I also loved how the sky looked with the gorgeous rainbow streaks in the dark.  If yall are friends with me on FB or IG, you know that i'm all about the clouds, sky and sunrises and sunsets.
We had a great time in Amsterdam in the 4 days we were there. Unfortunately we were supposed to arrive on Sunday with the rest of the group but we got bumped and didn't get there until Monday. We ended up having to get a hotel in Minneapolis the night before we left which really sucked that we lost a day but it was a paid "work" trip so you cant really complain.   Bonus, we were able to eat some delicious fried cheese curds in Minneapolis airport!
Gotta run, but as i mentioned, i have so many pictures to share with yall. I had a flub with uploading this am- i selected 20 and only 9 came over.  Oh well!!  Have a great day yall and talk to ya soon.  If you want to follow me on IG, you can find me at  Holliworld
