More concerts and work travels

Hey there, I ALMOST let a week go by without posting.  You got to admit, I've been trying hard since I've come back. LOL
So this week has been crammed packed starting with this past Tuesday night's concert.  We saw the Revolution 3 tour which is Bush , Stone Temple Pilots, and The Cult.   We typically don't ever pass on The Cult when they come to town.  It was such a great concert and we had bought the cheap seats in the lawn and we had a nice breeze which helped.  Ironically, it poured down rain up until a few hours before the concert started and then not another drop.  It was perfect!  I had never seen STP while Scott Weiland was the lead and then of course he died a few years back (2015). They replaced him with another guy Jeff Gutt who does  a pretty darn good job as the lead.  I had already seen Bush in the 90's and The Cult 3 or 4 times but it was still a show we wanted to see. A band called The Dirty Hooks actually opened for all of them and yall- we really enjoyed them!!! The drummer is a chick who also has great vocals.  If you're on Spotify, you can find them there.

concerts are the best for people watching

Yesterday, I flew to Salt Lake City which is where i'll be working until next Friday the 24th. I am supporting a conversion which means i'll also be working tomorrow and potentially Sunday.  I've been here before a few times so I really don't mind working from here.   I will tell you a funny story ( to me at least), I was using my google maps app on my phone and as I was approaching my work location I saw the Harley symbol for their store, I was thinking that's cool that i'll be somewhat close to Harley, when right when I passed it my GPS said you've reached your destination.  I laughed out loud thinking how does google maps know my love for Harley.  I didn't see my location anywhere so I pulled over in a parking lot and called an employee here for the correct address and when they told me, it was actually behind another store facing the street and i'm directly across the street from Harley!  So cool and special bonus that I can hear the bikes coming and going all day. I stopped by today in fact on my lunch hour. 
Then speaking of extra bonuses,  Todd also flew in last night a couple hours after I did and he's working all day with one of his brokers. Which means his company paid for his trip.  He also has some family here who we're having dinner with tonight.  I am so excited to have Todd here for a few days because that really breaks up the loooong time I have to be here. Send prayers that tomorrow goes smoothly and I don't have to work too late so I can show Todd around.
Last night, I just happen to glimpse out my bedroom hotel window and spotted the sunset.  It was so pretty! 

So that's my week- concerts, rain, packing, flying, working.  :)

Riding the Hill Country

This past weekend I joined my husband on a weekend Harley ride with a group of friends. Our riding group goes to the Hill Country usually every spring.  This ride was a special ride though because our mechanic Tony,who has serviced all our bikes for years was coming along. He drives the most gorgeous Indian bike.  Tony has Stage 4 cancer and stopped taking Chemo a few weeks ago. This will most likely be his last large ride far distance.   There was a larger group that left early Friday morning but Todd had a Dr’s appointment that we couldn’t reschedule and he had a friend that was flying in from Atlanta and renting a bike so we told the group that we would catch up with them later that evening.  I dropped off the dogs at their overnight doggy daycare and then as soon as I got home, we jumped on the bike and rode to Dallas for the Dr appt.  Afterwards, we ate breakfast at the clinic cafeteria which was actually really good.  Todd’s friend Chris was landing at the airport soon and then took an Uber over to the Bike rental place. That’s where we met up with him.   From there, we rode over to our friend Coby’s house where he was joining us.  We got a really late start because Coby wasn’t ready. He never is and its so frustrating!! He had Rangers tickets for that weekend so he wanted to go to the box office and exchange them for another week and game. Fortunately the stadiums were very close to where he lived. While he was in line and we were parked, he discovered he left his phone at home.  So then Todd got in line for him while he drove him to get his phone and back.  That took close to an hour to get all that done.   Finally we were on our way to Hill Country.

We rode a few hours and then stopped for lunch around 2:00 in a town called Hico.   While we were waiting on our meal, my stepmom Deb called and said that Daddy’s other best friend Doc had passed away that morning.  I was so shocked and sad!  One of the first things that I thought was WOW, Daddy has his 2 very best friends with him now.  I know I posted about his friend Billy who passed suddenly last July.  Doc had been sick with a blood disease and had not been feeling well lately.  I know he suffered from pain at times.  The funeral is today in Austin but I am not there because I’ve taken too much time off work as it is. 

We arrived at our motel in Kerrville around 6:30 pm that night.  All together we rode around 300 miles that day and of course it was all back roads.  We dropped off our bags and got checked into our room and then got back on the back to meet our other group for dinner.  We met at a Mexican restaurant that had an hour wait. Funny, our friends saved us seats but then another group that happened to know our friends , saw them and sat in our chairs and they didn’t have the heart to tell them to leave.  SOOOO, we had to sit in the bar and have a drink while a table came open. Once we were seated, our friends in big group were leaving. HAHA!  We were late for everything that day.  Oh well!

Saturday morning, all of us ( I think there were 10 bikes total) started our first part of the day together.  There is a route to take that covers stretches of 3 different highways called The Three Sisters.  They’re very narrow and winding  and twisty twirly rodes and some steep uphill and downhill climbs.   They’re so fun and obviously a great riding destination . In fact there were lots of riding clubs not just bikes. We saw a group of Porsches and Corvettes riding the roads too.    There is a bar and grill in the middle where all the highways meet and we stopped there to have a snack and a drink.  We rode 2 of the sisters before we stopped.  Much of the group wanted to go to some other bars that were along the way but my group wanted to ride the last sister to just be able to say that we did.  Hindsight, the last highway was the worst and really not worth the effort but Hey we know now!  Another guy in the group wanted to ride with us so now we had 4 bikes in our group- Todd, Chris, Coby and now Bryan.   So the 5 of us turned right on the last highway while the rest of the group went their way.   After we finished the last highway we all agreed that we wanted to go to Luckenbach and hang out there for a while. I have been a few times but never with Todd.  They have live music and its just so relaxed and fun atmosphere. It was also 90 minutes in opposite direction but we wanted to keep riding.  We actually came across another part of a highway that was just as fun and winding and twisty as the 3 sisters. I said it must be the ugly stepsister because it was better than the last one.  Along the way, Bryan needed to air up his back tire and as we were wrapping up , Todd realized that our front tire was low  so we aired up too. I think we ended up being at that stop for almost 45 minutes.   Then Bryan realized his back light bulb was out so we had to stop at auto store and he changed that out in the parking lot.  THEN we started our ride to Luckenbach.  Our plan was to go there , have a quick drink and then catch up with our group again and have dinner together. Nope. Once again, we are so behind and we told our group we couldn’t make it to dinner.  When we got to Luckenbach, there was a wedding going on there.  There was one guy that didn’t tell us to leave but said he wasn’t sure how much longer we could stay because the family bought out the whole place for the night.  I bought a tshirt and we all stayed for one beer and then rode into Fredericksburg for dinner.  Fredericksburg will be its own post soon. Its one of my favorite places!! So much history and cute little shops. It’s a German town so we ate at yummy place and had pork schnitzel.    It was close to 9 pm I think before we headed back to hotel which took a little shy of 2 hours.   Sadly we didn’t get to see the rest of our group again that night.  We had to get back to Dallas pretty quickly because Chris still had to return the bike and uber to the airport to catch his plane.  We left at 7:30 am ( Coby, Chris, and Todd and i) and the other crew weren’t leaving until 9:30.   We got to see a few of the them when we were having breakfast in lobby so we got to say goodbye.

It was so much fun and I am really glad I went.   Friday night I was hurting pretty bad and regretting my decision because of all the squishing and big bumps and such. I felt bruised and im still a little swollen from surgery 2 weeks ago.  I was SUPPOSED to be a vendor at my junk show I do every 6 months but I’m not supposed lift anything heavy and I do that all weekend when I have my show.  It was nice to ride with Todd and spend time on the bike with our friends.  No regrets!  Life is short and you got to get out of the house.    I’ll post later on some of the things and places I saw along the way.  

Oh New York, New York

This past weekend, Todd and i went on a very quick whirlwind romantic getaway trip to New York City.  I have been there on numerous occasions but it was Todd's first time to ever be there.  We were only there 2 days ( really only one and 1/2) so we had to decide on what he really wanted to see while there.  We had a 6am flight on Friday morning so we had to get up at 3 to leave the house by 4 and get to the airport. It was pretty hectic at the airport because several people were traveling for Christmas break. We landed , got a cab and got to our hotel a little after noon.
Our hotel was in Times Square but a few blocks from the craziness of lights and crowds.  I exhausted all my Hilton points for the 2 nights there. I could have got 8 stays at the Galveston Beach in Texas for the points used for 2 days in NYC! It was worth it though, for sure.  Another thing we cashed in was our dime jar. For the last 3 years actually, Todd and i have been putting dimes in a Crown Royal bottle. Thats the only coin that fits.  We weren't allowed to touch it until it was full and to use on a trip or special occasion. It was almost full and it was a perfect time to use it.  I used one of those CoinStar machines that keep 10% of what goes in.  We got 80$ cash after all said and done.  Yay!!
After we checked into our hotel - (Yall are room number was 911!!), we walked to a restaurant and bar called Heartland Brewery. I had been there before a couple of times so i knew the food was good. It didnt disappoint this time either.  They have buffalo chicken spring rolls that are so good!  Todd had a red beer and a reuben sandwich and he loved it.

The first thing we wanted to do since we had a clear day was see the 911 memorial . It was a bitter cold day and it never got above 23 degrees. In between some of those buildings though it felt colder and the wind was pretty fierce.  We took a subway because it was opposite direction from where we were.  We didnt take the tour or go inside the museum because it was a really long line and as mentioned, super cold. We took some pics and then began our walk to Battery Park. The famous bull had been moved there in the last few years from Bowling Green ( close to wallstreet).  Thats also where the ferry to Ellis island is. It was too cold to take the ferry  to see Statue of Liberty .  From there, we walked to ChinaTown and thru Little Italy and then back to subway to our hotel.  Todd and I both needed to sit and warm up before we ventured out again.  Todd and both wanted to find a place nearby to eat in Times Square. It was Friday night and many people had tickets to see shows so the restaurants were packed. One place had a 2.5 hour wait which would have been around 9:30pm. We stumbled into a cute quaint Italian restaurant and had a nice meal. It was good but it wasnt anything WOW about it.  They had a very strange parsley dipping sauce for the bread and it wasnt my favorite.  After dinner, we walked around a gorgeous area in Bryant Park. It also had a huge Christmas tree with ice skating rink like Rockefeller Plaza. We took some pictures and then we went to the hotel and honestly was in bed by 10. Keep in mind, it had been a LOOOONG day starting at 3am.   I joked with Todd, here we are in the city that never sleeps and we're already in bed. LOL!  Oh well- thats how we roll.

Saturday morning we woke up to snow. The news had said it was supposed to start around midnight. The snow was so pretty until it started to rain.  Boy did it rain! I dressed for cold weather and not necessarily for wet weather. The rain soaked through my wool coat and even thru my 2 shirts i was wearing. I got soaked! I took a wool floppy hat and it soaked it up so much it was heavy and super floppy. ha!  Between the snow and the rain, there was a lot of slush and ice on the roads and sidewalks. The potholes was crazy deep off the curbs.  One hole i stepped into went over my boot and so now i'm walking in squishy soaked socks in my leather boots. I had to buy a pair of socks that were 8 dollar New York socks and asked for 2 plastic bags. We went to a Starbucks so i could take off my wet socks and put on my new dry socks then wrapped the plastic bags over my feet to keep them from getting them soaked again.  Of course, Todd and i had to go to the Harley shop so we walked several blocks to get there. While there, Todd bought a rainsuit that he actually needed and it was on sale super cheap even for New York.  He wore the jacket so that i could wear his trench coat and i didnt have to wear my soaking wet wool coat.  It all worked out- plastic bags on feet and all.

We had tickets to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall at 2pm so we got there early to stand in line and we got in pretty quick. We waited in the lobby until we could be seated.  The show was OUTSTANDING!! It was my 4th time to see them perform and my 3rd time to see them there. They have a crew that tours and i saw them a few years ago here in Dallas.  Todd wasnt sure what to expect but he told me he really enjoyed and was surprised how much he did. The end of the show , they have a live nativity set with camels , donkeys, etc and it was beautiful. Todd and i both got choked up. I came home with the cutest Rockette dancer ornament.

After the show, close by was Rockefeller Center so we stopped and took a few pictures there , then  we walked down 5th avenue past Trump tower, to Tiffany's. Tiffany's was gorgeous. I wanted to get another snowflake charm ( they come out with one every year) but it was 150$. For a charm i only wear during the winter, i decided i was too practical.  From there, we walked a few blocks over to Central Park.  It was getting dark and colder and Todd was hungry so we just saw the main entrance to the park and then went down to the subway to take us back to Little Italy for dinner.
There are so many cute quaint restaurants down there, its hard to decide but most of them have a guy in front asking everyone to eat there. There was a young man who was pretty persuasive and it was the right choice!  I had homemade sangria that was amazing! In fact i had 2 glasses. hehehe. We got a nice quiet little corner table by the window and really had a great meal. I tried something new and had chicken with spinach and cheese and a mushroom reduction sauce.  YUM!  Todd made up his own pasta dish that he had in his mind and they were happy to make it. So good!

When we were done with dinner, we headed back to subway and got off on 42nd and went to the Pandora store. I wanted a special New York souvenir and  Todd bought me a new bracelet and an apple charm.  i love it!!  On our way back to hotel, we walked through main Times Square area around Broadway and it was crazy packed. I loved seeing all the signs and the lights and activity.

I've been to New York now a number of times mostly for business. A few times i've gone with  friends. There is nothing quite like being there during Christmas with my husband. It made things so much more extra special. I love traveling with the love of my life and sharing new and fun experiences together.   I had an amazing time but it was also good to get back home. I missed my dogs something fierce.
Now to drown with yall a gazillion amount of pictures.  In fact, there will have to be a part 2 to share most of them.

Chugging along

I have been crazy busy but then again whats new? My friends and family make comments all the time how i'm constantly running. I guess its true.  My job has also been busy too working on some deadlines to get done before end of year.  Todd is still traveling every week and when he's gone i'm busier with the dogs, house stuff, etc.

So if you're friends with me on FB you saw my post already yesterday about what i am going to type next.  This past weekend , I asked Todd if he remembered watching the Christmas cartoon on The Little Drummer Boy. He definitely remembered and also used to watch as a kid.  I really looked forward to seeing it and wondered why they didnt show it anymore.  We both assume its because of both the religious  content and the violence.  The violence was when the boys parents get killed earlier in the show.   Most of y'all know that Bob Seger is one of my favorite singers ever and he sings his version of Little Drummer Boy that i listen to all the time on my ipod. It was released on an album A Very Special Christmas that featured different artists such as RUN DMC, Stevie Nicks, Tracy Chapman, and more. One of my favorite Christmas albums for sure!  Yesterday while i was at work, i wanted to listen to the song so i went to youtube on my phone to find it. I dont have my Christmas songs on my phone playlist and i dont have my ipod with me at work.   I couldn't believe it when i saw the video being used for the song - it was scenes from Little Drummer Boy cartoon.  One of my favorite singers singing with one of my favorite shows playing in background.  Oh Happy Day!!  Do you remember this cartoon? They actually have a sequel too that was good. I think i may try to find them and order them to have.

I have to tell you a surprise. Todd bought us tickets to fly to NYC this weekend and to see the Radio City Rockettes.  I am so excited!! He's never been to New York and he's wanted to see it around Christmas time.  We've been watching the weather and its not looking good but we will make the best out of it.  I love love love the Rockettes and i've confessed a few times here that i wanted to be one but never was tall enough.  I cant wait to tell yall about our trip. We have a 6am flight this Friday. Fingers crossed for safe travels and health.

Wedding Anniversary

Today is our 3 year wedding anniversary.   I am trying not to burst into tears thinking about Daddy walking me down the aisle and our daddy -daughter dance.  Instead i am distracting myself thinking about the most amazing gouda mac n cheese we served at reception. HAHA! For real, we have had more people tell us that we had the best wedding food they've ever had and i have to agree. We had steak and twice baked potatoes, ceasar salad and the mac n cheese. We had of course our wedding cake and grooms cake that was so delicious! We got married at a winery and we brought cases of beer in. No one went hungry or thirsty at the wedding. Todd played a projector that had pictures of our guests with us at some point. People enjoyed the slide show. We also had a photo booth with cute props and i love looking at those pics. Especially when we weren't ready for the next picture in the series of 4. LOL 

That night was magical to have my mom and dad and most all of our family and friends there to celebrate us.  Fun times!

Todd proposed to me on 12-12-12 at a wonderful swanky 4 star steak house. I was so emotional the night he proposed that i couldnt eat. I didnt have an appetite.  So what we do on our anniversary now is go back so i can enjoy the meal.  I am so excited for tonight!

What?! It's not 10pm yet and I'm posting !! I tell ya, blogging on Saturdays is not easy for me. This is the 2nd weekend since I moved , so I feel like I have to work from dusk to dawn to get the place in order. We spent the entire morning and afternoon unpacking the garage.  I know , you'd think we would focus on the inside of the house BUT... I needed to know where some things were in the garage. To add to my all time craziness, i have my junk show that I signed up for next weekend.  I had my first show last November, and she let us sign up for the spring show at the time.  Of course, I had no idea I would be buying a house 6 months later when I signed up.  I'm really not ready but at same time, I really need to sell a lot of stuff to get out of my garage. 

I wanted to mention my sweet husband Todd.  In August, we will celebrate our 3rd year wedding anniversary. We dated 2 years before we married so almost 5 years that we've been together. 

Todd is 6 months older than me and I live that we're the same age.  He also loves music as much as I do. We attend many concerts and love listening to live bands.  Todd is also a drummer for our church worship band.  We often mention how lucky we are that we both love music and have quite a bit of knowledge between the two of us about bands , songs, etc.  

Todd loves to ride his Harley.  Fun fact, I helped him study for his motorcycle license test 12 years ago.  I had my license years before him and when we first met, he called them Murdercycles and had no interest in bikes.  He's come full circle now!! 

Todd was / is my best friend.  We met 21 years ago and became instant friends. In between those years he had moved to Houston. We never lost touch and always kept up our friendship. It was absolutely 100% platonic.  I literally did not see him as anymore than a friend. He was also married and I knew his wife and we would all hang out together sometimes. Fast forward to 2011, i had ended an 8 yr relationship with my Ex and Todd has recently divorced.  We were checking on each other just for moral support and to make sure each other were OK.   One night we stepped out for dinner, and he said to me " you realize this is the first time ever we are both single at the same time".  I just nodded and stared.  Todd then said , " I think we have to least give it a shot to see if there is chemistry between us.  Let's face it, we know everything about each other - good , bad and ugly".  I was so scared of the possibility that it could ruin our friendship, I got angry that he would even consider us dating.   Later on that week, I was talking to mom over the phone and I remember telling her " you're not going to believe what Todd did! He went THERE and made our friendship awkward. It was like Harry met Sally". Then Mom told me that she couldn't explain it but that she had good feeling about us. She felt like she knew Todd from all the years of our friendship. He used to always call me when I visited her in Montana.  She said " y'all are grown adults, if it doesn't feel right after the first date or so, stop before it jeopardizes your friendship. 

Like they say, the rest is history! Todd has been my rock this past year and more. When I "broke" and became very anxious and depressed , he's been so great.  When I started counseling, he was supportive. When i lost Daddy a few months ago, he was right by my side.  I haven't been easy to live with lately with my anxiety off the hook from the move.  He hugs me and tells me it will all work out.  

I love him so much and I'm so lucky that he loves me.  I still wonder why GOD has me wait until I was 45 to ever marry for the first time , then I just remind myself that HE was preparing both myself and Todd for each other in marriage.  

"I" Introduction

Good morning y'all!  I also took today off from work so that I can could have another day to unpack.  I have broke down dozens of boxes but I look around and it seems as if I made zero impact  at all.  Trouble with downsizing, is that you have too much stuff with no time to decide what stays and goes.  Lots of anxiety going on!! 

Anywho, I need to get my quick post out so I can get back to unpacking and I thought I would introduce myself. 

My name is Holli and I recently got married 3 years ago in August.  My hubs name is Todd and we've been together for 5 years. The funny thing is that the whole cliche of marrying my best friend really did happen. We were best best friends for 17 years when we decided to give a go.  I wish I could tag my posts about us but I'm blogging from my phone app. 

I live in suburb of Dallas , Texas.  I was born in Dallas in May of 1968. 

I have 2 step kids - a boy and a girl and I have 2 furry kids - a boy and a girl. Jax and Lila live with us and the human kids live with their mother. 

We just bought a house this past Friday and it's been crazy.  

I work full time for a distribution company  as a corporate trainer. This year in September will be 21 years there.  We are in process of being in huge merger that was announced last year but it takes time to combine 2 companies with different systems and processes.  

I ride a Harley. Was raised on motorcycles my whole life and Todd rides too. Lately, I've been riding on the back with him but I'm thinking of buying a new bike ( trike).  We've gone to Sturgis the last 2 years and I went another time 12 years ago ( before Todd). 

My most amazing sweet Daddy just recently passed away in January and I'm still shaken to my very core.  

About 5 months ago, something snapped inside of me and I have depression and anxiety like never ever before. I feel broken and I can't handle stressful things like I used to.  I've cried everyday during this move and I hate myself afterwards.  Who am I? I used to be a rock and fiercely independent . 

I am addicted to Starbucks but of course cutting back to twice a week since moving is so expensive! 

I use explanation marks too much.

I am a quarter Choctaw Indian. My grandfather was full blooded.  

I still have both my grandmas and they are both 89.  

My little sweet mom suffers from terrible chronic disease Lupus .  I will blog about that on my letter L. 

I have a brother Jeremy that lives in Oklahoma with his wife and my 2 nieces.  

I have a stepbrother Draeger and stepsister Rachelle who both live in Northern California with their girlfriend and husband and my other 2 nieces. 

I love music more than anything outside of family and friends. We go to a lot of concerts and my music preferences are all over genres. Country and rock and Christian are the ones I listen to daily though. 

My imagination is very creative.  My mom said it's from loving to read since a very early age.  My dreams are crazy technicolor dreams and I really should write them down sometime. 

I love the Lord! I am strong in my faith and I post inspirational quotes quite a bit here. However, I have close friends that are of different nationalities and religions and I respect that. I don't like being forced anything in my face and would not do that to you either. 

Mexican food is my favorite. I could seriously eat tacos everyday.  

I am procrastinating going back to unpacking so I better run.  Have a great Monday y'all!!!

Thanksgiving this and that

Hey y'all! So did you survive Thanksgiving with your family? Mine was good for the most part. We spent the day with Todd's family and we had good day. That evening we were on our way to my Dads when Todd decided to start a huge fight with me.  So rest of the day was ruined but at least there were some good hours beforehand.  The bottom line is he's losing his patience with me. He says I've changed and he wants the old me back. I miss the old me too.  I called the Dr's from the list given to me and they told me to call back this week. Because of the holidays , most of them were closed most of the week.  So wish me luck I get an appointment scheduled.  I'm still crying every single day but it's quick and not all day. Yay for waterproof mascara!!

My brother-inlaw married his girlfriend last Monday. It was super sweet and I love her so much! Happy to have her in our family.  Friday night after thanksgiving, we went to see Blue October in concert. I bought the tickets in July and I was so excited.  The weather has been absolutely terrible this whole past week. It's rained every single day nonstop.  We have a lot of flooding around the area. The rain didnt slow down attendance to the concert at all. It was sold out and 3000 attended.   I had never seen them live but they're one of my favorite bands. 

Then early Saturday morning, I drove back to East Texas to spend the day with Nanny.  She looks so good y'all! Her face is healing and besides the small bandage on her nose, you'd never know she face planted into concrete 2 weeks prior.  She still having some pain in her arms but nothing like it was.  So she's improving there.  The only thing left besides her arms healing is getting her dentures fixed.  This alone has given me great stress.  Do any of y'all have that family member that you'd just rather avoid? 

After the accident, my uncle made an appointment for Nanny to get in last week and she would have her new ones the next day.  That is if she arrives for her appointment on time.  Nanny doesn't drive and never has and my uncle traveled out of state to visit my cousin Lauren. Unfortunately, my unreliable aunt ( who's never been on time a day in her life) was supposed to take Nanny to the appointment.  Yep, my selfish narcissistic self- centered aunt was almost 2 hours late. This meant that Nanny didn't get to have her new dentures. I'm getting so angry just thinking about it!!!  My stupid aunt caused Nanny to go over a week without teeth. Now you try to get thru Thanksgiving without teeth. Not only that but I know good n well, my aunt would have NEVER stand for not having her teeth a day but it's OK to make her mother go without.   It was just heart breaking to see my Nanny go without.  It was pouring rain, so she never left the house. I went and picked up 3 containers of soup for her to have from a local restaurant.  It made me heart and soul heal to spend the day with her.  I'm going again during Christmas.  Her next appointment is for tomorrow.  I hope my uncle takes her or makes arrangements not to trust my aunt again. 

So that's it for the last week.  

Paula had a gold Christmas tree and a basket of ornaments. All the guests signed an ornament and hung on the tree.  Cute idea! 

Thanksgiving selfie with Todd and my step kids.  Alli spent the night with us on Wednesday and we had a good time. Took her to get her cartilage pierced again on top of her ear.

We put up out tree last night but didn't decorate it yet. That will be this week.
